Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on both the small and big screen. She gained the most recognition when she landed her part as Rita in the acclaimed television series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character the character of Rita on The Handmaid's tale, a series that was filming over 10 years ago.
